An easy to make BRINE SHRIMP SIEVE - Derrick Clayton - ©

Required: 2 plastic plant pots ( make sure they
are the firm, rigid type ) I have used 14cm size Cut the botom off the plant pots, leaving
14cm size, synthetic organza or similar ( fine rings approx. 7 cm deep.
mesh ) and small amount of aquarium silicone.

Smear a little silicone round the outside cut Place the ring with the covering inside
edge of one of the rings and stretch the fabric the second ring and press firmly
tightly over and down the side into the silicone, together. Allow to dry, then it's ready for use.
To use, place sieve into the top of a container such as a jug and syphon shrimp through the sieve. The
sieve can be floated in water to wash the shimp. With the mesh I use the sieve floated in a fry tank lets through a small amount of small, newly hatched shrimp, ideal for guppy fry. I find the seive much easier to use than a net and being larger than commercially available brine shrimp sieves, more practical for fishouse use.
